Co-Author of "The Drums Would Roll" a history of Army Bands in the American West following the Civil War. I am in the process of putting together an ensemble to record numbers played by the bands stationed at Fort Hays, Kansas between 1867 and 1889.

My parents just attended your concert in Carlyle, IL, this past weekend and were able to speak with Mr. Reynolds briefly after the concert. Mr. Reynolds was my band director at Beckemeyer Grade School in the 1970's. Thank you, Mr. Reynolds, for giving me the gift of music, which I still thoroughly enjoy today. I play my flute each Sunday at church, with our local community band each summer, and occasionally with a 100 member singing group I am a part of. Music is truly a wonderful gift you can enjoy your whole life through. I currently live in Jasper, Indiana, yet make trips to Illinois frequently. I am going to try to make it to one of your concerts in the near future. I can't wait to listen to the CD my mom and dad purchased. Keep up the good work!!
